Lauren Lake: We are in the last phase of the Daly's modern kitchen makeover. The floor and the backsplash are in, now it's time to install those sleek appliances. Kevin Daly: I love it. I can also hook it up to the sink to use it. I can actually use the sink and run water at the same time. It's amazing. Jeff Devlin: It's a little thing that just make you happy, right? Kevin Daly: Yes. Lauren Lake: We needed a little drama and this handle is perfect. We had to bring in a little pop, but I love the fact that not only are these dramatic, but they are still crisp, clean and simplistic like the rest of our design. Jeff Devlin: I like the detail on the door the way it is actually laid the screws like that. Kevin Daly: Yeah. Jeff Devlin: Actually it's kind of cool, you know, very modern. You are pregnant, it's okay. Your mind is not your own; you are sharing a mind right now. Lauren Lake: This kitchen used to be drab, dysfunctional and had too many doors. Now it's a modern open, clean space, perfect for this growing family to enjoy. I love it. Valerie Daly: Well, can you believe this is our kitchen? Kevin Daly: I don't think this is the same room. We filled in the window, filled in the door, opened up the wall. Valerie Daly: It's just a much more functional layout than what it used to be. Kevin Daly: Right. Lauren Lake: The lopsided closeout kitchen is gone. We have knocked down the wall into the dining room to create an open wide, crisp, modern kitchen, and also an awesome two-chaired breakfast bar. Our total came to $35,000 which includes brand-new white maple cabinets, gray acrylic counter tops, modern white appliances and off-white porcelain tiled floor, a beautiful mosaic backsplash with flex of gray throughout, and all the hard work and labor that went into it. Valerie Daly: Remember how much cabinet space we had before. Kevin Daly: Hardly any. Valerie Daly: Hardly any and now we have all of this with the roll-out doors. I mean we are not going to have a problem filling room. Kevin Daly: No. Valerie Daly: Now we have all of these nice new appliances, look at the dishwasher. Kevin Daly: Dishwasher. Valerie Daly: It's in the --. Kevin Daly: It's actually built into the -- Valerie Daly: Built into the cabinet. Kevin Daly: Because right here, where it used to be and we had to roll it over, hook it up. I love this wine fridge. The fact that it's stainless steel too, I think is really nice because against the white, it really looks, it like jumps out at you. Valerie Daly: And the counter space, I mean I could not ask for more counter space. Kevin Daly: And just the counters themselves, they are just beautiful. Well, this area will definitely be my favorite spot. I can stand here for having people over, it's just kind of hang at the bar. Valerie Daly: Yeah and even I am here cooking, everybody is a part of the whole atmosphere. And the floor. Kevin Daly: Yeah, the floor, which is another thing, it really like brings out the kitchen and really takes it to another level along with the backsplash. Valerie Daly: The mosaic backsplash. Kevin Daly: It adds a lot of color and -- Valerie Daly: I think it's so nice. I love the gray, the white, and the cream in there, I think it just makes everything so nice. It superseded all my expectations. Kevin Daly: I couldn't imagine that this would come out like this, every way I could. Valerie Daly: Me either, I love it.
