Why would that make your nose run a little? Female: Ethan, that’s a very interesting question, you may notice that when you rub your eyes, your eyes begin to tear. This may also happen if you accidentally poke yourself in the eye of if you have a cold or allergies; it’s actually the tearing in your eyes that causes your nose to run. There is a connection between your eyes that directly takes those tears into your nose. You may even notice that if you have salty tears, you’ll have a salty running nose.
