Mark: Hi! I’m Mark from Kansas City Missouri and I was wondering how much water should I drink per day. Bonnie Jortberg: Mark that is a very hot topic and this how much fluid do we need each day. And it’s been some what controversial because the old school of taught was that we need it eight ounce of glasses or 64 ounces of water each day. Since our body is almost 80% water we actually do need a firm of fluid and what we have found is that recommendation of about 8 ounces of glasses or 64 ounces of water and that’s actually a pretty good one and that’s what most people need. Now if you live in a hot climate particularly one that is also humid you probably need to increase it at some more to about 10 to 12 glasses per day or if you are very physically active you also probably need to increase your fluid intake to about 10 to 12 glasses per day.
