How Crohn's Disease Affects Giving Birth If you have Crohn’s disease, it’s fine to have a vaginal birth unless you have had previous surgery on your rectum. For those patients that have, it may be safer to have a C-section, and you should discuss this with your gastroenterologist before delivering.
