How Brain Exercises Improve Our Memory Dan: Hi, I’m Dan from Kentucky and I was wondering, do brain exercises help with the general performance of someone’s brain even if they don’t have memory issues? Male: Dan, I’m glad to hear that you don’t have memory loss but even if you’re memory is perfectly normal there is probably more room for improvement and by exercising your memory in the regular fashion you are very likely to improve it which is a good thing. Also keep in mind that memory is not the only cognitive domain which is of importance. There is also attention, decision making, language, special orientation and cognitive exercises exist which are likely to improve any of those so the more diverse and rich and well balanced your menu of cognitive exercises is the greater the likelihood that you’ll improve your cognitive functions including memory.
