Anne: These aren't your mom’s maternity jeans. By combining designer denim with the support of moms to be need, retailers are showing that you don’t have to sacrifice style while pregnant. Joanne: Our clients wear the denim before they're pregnant and it’s a natural evolution for them to be able to have the same style during their pregnancy that they're use to wearing when they're not pregnant. Anne: District manager and maternity fashion expert Joanne Amend says the store’s secret to supportive jeans lies in the seamless belt belly. Joanne: It goes over the belly. It can also be flip down and worn below the belly if somebody feels more comfortable that way. But the nice thing about this secret fit is that it’s just one piece of fabric. So there are no seams and it does give a really smooth line under any top. Female: Yeah, it’s definitely very comfortable.
