Host: Costumes aren’t only for kids. Everybody should be able to indulge at least once a year so Anne’s here to show us how moms to be can join in on the holiday fun too. Anne: Hey moms to be, it can be tricky on Halloween to find a costume that fits your pregnant belly but we have a treat for you this Halloween. I’m at the largest Halloween shop in New York City, Halloween Adventure with owner, Tony Bianchi to check out some looks that might work for you when you’re expecting. So Tony, do you have a lot of pregnant women that come in here looking for costumes? Tony: Yes, quite a few pregnant women will come in here and not only pregnant, they’re also pushing baby carriages with other children so it’s like a shopping experience for them because they want a costume so that they’re to take their little ones out on Halloween but they also want to dress up to be part of the whole family. Children want them to dress up. It’s exciting for the kids to see the mom pregnant and dressed. Anne: Definitely. Let’s take a look at some of the costumes you have in store for us. Tony: This is our beautiful bee costume and it comes with wonderful accessories. It has a little honey pot and what is this a flower? We also have the classic antennas. The antennas are important so that you can see where you’re going and we have a beautiful tiara. The tiara gives it a little bit more magic and the little wings. The wings which I like to adjust so that they split up so that she could fly. The classic accessory is the bee stinger in the back and she was wonderful leggings on. A bee costume is wonderful because there’s a lot of room in it and the pregnant woman could feel much more relaxed in it. We have a goddess. A wonderful goddess, a beautiful goddess. These are wonderful costumes because they’re easy to wear for the pregnant woman and they’re not constricting. It goes with shoes, we have everything here. The makeup, and if we need, there’s wigs and we have a lot of jewelry, costume jewelry we like to call it. The most important thing is you feel comfortable. We have another costume. It’s not a goddess. It’s more down to earth, a Native American with her peace pipe and I don’t think a pregnant woman should be smoking so it’s just a prop. It’s a wonderful prop. This is the classic of all pregnant woman costumes. Pumpkin costume. She’s right out of the pumpkin patch. This is a wonderful costume. It’s really simple. It’s comfortable. It’s also good if you’re just giving out trick or treats because that’s with the little pumpkin bucket and we accessorize it with leggings, gloves and I have a little pipe cleaners that come in different colors so you can put some vines on you. It’s really quite simple. It’s very easy to put on. One of the things that a pregnant woman should realize it’s better for a pregnant woman to come early in the season, because you’re not going to be banging around and bumping around because it really gets pretty hectic. For our next costume, we finally have a scary costume. A little scary, a classic witch with the broom and an--I would say it’s a witches bonnet, it’s wonderful. Only the difference in this costume is that we have a wig, we have an extraordinary hat, we have a cape and we have sound effects. Can you cackle? Are you going to fly out of here? There she goes.
