George Clooney Interview At Up In The Air Movie Premiere Diana: Welcome to American Airline! Up in the Air is right on schedule. and Hollyscoop is ready to make a connection with George Clooney that is. We’re here at the Los Angeles Premiere for Up In the Air giving you the scoop on why we should watch this movie. 10 seconds, why I should watch this film? George Clooney: I’ll tell you why you should watch the film, Jason Reitman who’s down there will give everyone who sees the film a free car. Diana: I’ll down for that. George Clooney: And we ask him when he shows up here. Diana: I’m going to hold you up for it. J.K. Simmons: It’s a really good movie and Clooney is really handsome and virtually clean and he’s really cute, fun and nice. Danny McBride: It’s incredible. It’s a wonderful piece of work. Sheldon Turner: George Clooney, Jason Reitman, it’s a beautiful film. It makes you laugh; it makes you cry and got in right under the 10, right? Diana: Oscar buzz for this film. I mean you’ve done it before but they’re saying you know your character might— George Clooney: I had some tremendous Oscar buzz for Batman and Robin and I was—as you can imagine disappointed. So, I don’t really pay much attention. J.K. Simmons: Pretty sure I’m giving some Oscar Buzz. They do have like best 30-second scene Oscar don’t you think? Diana: I think they should. They should take one right up. Best—goes to— J.K. Simmons: Who else? Diana: Oscar buzz? Danny McBride: Yes, is there some? Well, that’s very flattering to be involved in something that people would hold so highly. Diana: Any time you could be perfect for the film, I mean what’s going on right now? Melanie Lynske: Yes, I mean that’s kind of sad that the timing is so good for a lot of what the movie is about but I hope it gets better for everyone. Diana: Have you been fired before? George Clooney: Yes, few times. Diana: What was that like? George Clooney: Have you ever been fired? That’s a drag. Diana: I actually walked out, I didn’t get fired. George Clooney: Oh you too, it’s on your call. Diana: Actually the same company that— George Clooney: Sort of like I broke up with him. Right yes, oh sure I walked out I could see the—I was fired from selling ladies shoes. I was fired from selling insurance door-to-door. I was fired up of a pilot the third. Sheldon Turner: There are so many instances I have. I work in Hollywood, the timing hasn’t worked out where something has gone on where you can't do it, be a 911 or anything else where you can't make those kinds of movies. It’s nice to be on the right side on one of those things even if it means a pretty hard time in America. George Clooney: So, tell him by the way because he’s been working out like crazy. When you first see him he walks up and go, “Wow, you look great. Did you loose a lot of weight?” Watch but he’ll like “As a matter of fact, I have.” Diana: George Clooney told me to tell you that you look really good and you loss some weight. Jason Reitman: How generous of him. Diana: He actually said if we watch this film, you’ll give us a car. After that Clooney interview, I think I’m up in the air. That’s a scoop from Hollyscoop.
