You can't go wrong by giving mom flowers for mother’s day. You can save money by arranging them yourself. Here are some ideas to make beautiful eye-popping flower arrangements quickly and easily. For roses, use florist tape to make a grid on top of the container for support and spacing. Treat your water with a drop or two of bleach to help prevent bacteria. Strip any leaves that might end up underwater. Cut the stem underwater to prevent air from blocking water flow. Fill the grid evenly with roses. Now add asparagus fern to make the arrangement more bushy and full. Strip any excess leaves that will be in the water and place them in empty spots. To add elegance, place branches of English ivy in the arrangement. It’s an easy way to take 6 roses from simple to sensational. What about cut flowers found in a grocery store. Begin by soaking floral foam in water treated with a preservative or bleach. The foam gives a support and helps water for the flowers. Now place the foam in your container and begin filling with greenery. We’re using mother’s fern perfect for mother’s day and some asparagus fern. Now add the cut flowers evenly throughout. Add a piece of lily grass to complement longer stalks. What a great gift for mom. If you have a tall container to fill, try using both fresh and dried flowers. Begin with filler around the edge. Trim it in angle and quickly get into the water with a base of green and natural colors. Insert a sunflower for height. Give it a clean cut and place in the center. Use flowers with multiple stalks attached so you can place the sunflower inside it for support. Balance with more color and then punk in dried flowers for and old barn feel. Arranging your own flowers is easier than you think. And they're the perfect gift for mother’s day. And remember, you can get all the printable instructions right here.
