If you want to tour the streets of a prospective neighborhood then it's easy to do so without even leaving your computer! Just go to Google Street View and you can see what any area looks like from street level. This is a great way to get a more detailed look at a place you might be thinking of buying a home so that you can really get a feel for it.

Butterscotch Tutorial Special Finding a home with online tools Part eight of ten: The view from the ground Molly McDonald: Google street view is a great tool for seeing exactly what's around the area where you thinking and moving. It's especially helpful if you relocating from across the country or either from across the globe. Just enter in the city address or zip code into the Google map's search bar and click on search maps. Now you can just click on the little yellow man and drag him anywhere on the map where you see a blue outline. These are the areas or street views available and when he's hovering overhead you'll see a snap shot image of what's below, and when you drop him and place him on the map a window will pop open and show you exactly what is around where he standing, you can click on and drag the map around to get a different view and click on the arrows to move forward or back on the street. There is also zooming available if you just keep double clicking on an area of the map. You can bring the street map backup and move him to another location and then click here to view the street view again.
