Fashion's Night Out 2010 New York Insider TV A Taste of Life on the Inside Thomas Farley: Tonight in New York its fashion’s night out. So we know that fashion for New York is as always really high but tonight as fashion so because it is fashion’s night out 2011 this is the second annual outing for this retail extravaganza stores around the world are going to be participating in a shopapalooza hoping that consumers will come out in their Sunday best although it’s a Friday night and more important open their pocket books. We’re going to find out how many New Yorkers are actually doing that tonight and if so what they’re buying. Female: It’s a good way to see what the trends are and what’s coming in and what you are now and since we know people have a good time in the city. Female: Hi we’re at Yigal Azrael. Thomas: Tell me what are you shopping for tonight. Female: Just something fun, something exciting. Thomas: What have you purchased? Female: I purchased a bag. Thomas: You got a pretty bag for your bag. Female: Exactly. Thomas: That is nice so that is a bag in a bag, in a bag, in a bag. Female: In a bag like 3 bags. Thomas: Well unfortunately its here with Kelly Roland with Destiny’s Child. Kelly: Yes. Thomas: Kelly you’re looking amazing. Kelly: Thank you, thank you very much. Thomas: What is it about fashion night out that excites you so much? Kelly: You know the fact that everybody is to celebrate fashion together you know you get to discover like things that are coming out in fashion. It’s always exciting there it’s like this air of energy and excitement so its great to be amongst it. Thomas: What did you score? Female: A dress, a jacket. I got a scarf and so what can you say? Thomas: We have found 3 lovely ladies who do not know about Fashion Week kind of stumbled into it. Female: Yeah I thought it was a holiday I didn’t really know. Female: Kind of a holiday too and I feel like I fit right in though. Thomas: You do. Female: This is what New York is all about. Thomas: You guys are you in Tommy from head to toe. Male: Yes we are everything you see here is Tommy. Thomas: What is it about Fashion’s Night Out that you think is just so much fun? Male: I mean for it’s just like people can dress up like use that one article of clothing they haven’t used in a long time and break it out and really kind of dazzle people. Thomas: What have you done so far done any shopping? Female: Waited in lots of lines that’s for sure. Thomas: Plenty of champagne. Are you guys doing any shopping tonight? Female: No. Browsing meeting my friends out enjoying the night. Male: A lot of energy, a lot of positive energy. Everybody all coaches a little bit of everything is out here. Thomas: Have you found any great parties yet, you’re still on the look out? Male: Actually a couple of them I’m headed in and see what’s going on and so hey the night is young and every thing is active. Thomas: It’s highly appropriate that we end our wonderings of the Big Apple in front of what else a big apple. The apple store at 575 you do not need to wait till Fashion’s night out to go shopping here and this place is open 24/7. However speaking of shopping not a lot of that happening tonight, a lot of people sipping champagne, a lot of people having fun but you know what that’s what this evening is all about.
