With the hundreds of thousands of ads that are posted daily to craigslist world wide, navigating the site can be difficult. Molly McDonald offers some craigslist survival strategies.

Craigslist Fundamentals - #6 - Learn to Navigate Craigslist Navigating around Craigslist takes some getting used to but there are a few tricks you can use to find your way around. Let’s say I’m searching for bike. I’ll click on Bikes under the For Sale section and then City of San Francisco. So here are a bunch of bikes for sale in San Francisco. You can also choose to just view all bicycles, just San Francisco or return to the main page of the whole of the by clicking here. You can also click on the section headings and do a search for what you are looking for if you don’t know exactly what sub category it would be in. This will sometimes give you more results as some people don’t properly categorize their items. So now you can see I am searching for a job as an editor in all jobs but I can still go in and place it in the category of something like Writing Jobs. If your listing has a picture included, you’ll see the word IMG next to the posting. You can also choose to only search for items that include a picture.
