Scion Racing TOYOTA PRO/CELEBRITY RACE IN SCION Tcs WILLOW SPRINGS PRE-RACE TRAINING Tanner Foust: I am at the Toyota Grand Prix at Long Beach Pro/Celebrity Race, we're driving these 2009 SCION Tcs, they all have super chargers in them there, somewhere around 200 horsepower motor. When a throw a bunch of racers and celebrities in cars on a track like Long Beach you need some training. Male speaker 1: We shouldn't have anybody driving so hard right now; they're going off the track. Male Speaker 2: Oh here we go, here we go. Jamie Bestwick: I still pretty impressed with these car, they are quick, you know finesse is the key to driving this car very, very fast, it's been a beautiful thing. Tanner Foust: Enjoy driving this car. SCION Tcs is used for the Pro/Celebrity Race. I mean basically stock, they've got a super charger on them. I think it looks like a little bit of suspension tweak and then some big brakes and otherwise I mean they still have all the seats inside, all the interior, it's just like on the showroom floor, but doing lap after lap in a car, any car is incredibly abusive. Come on baby. Yes. The fact that these just do it lap after lap after lap it's unbelievable, you completely forget that you're in a street once you are on the track. Jesse McCartney: The performance is amazing. You know it's a really technical track, we have been running on for the last four days, the car just handles amazingly and coming down this back stretch it's just crazy amount of power. Jamie Bestwick: I think when we get to Long Beach the car really you know come into it's own with a little bit longer straights, we'll be able to get the speeds up. Steve Millen: It's really great, lots of great people and they are very, very successful at what they do, and it's been fun to see how they apply themselves to motor racing. Tony Hawk: I have learned more than I ever expected to, you know I thought racing was just about not being afraid to go fast. Jimmy Vasser: We're going to just get rolling and then get the train moving and try to keep it clean coming through, you know there is some erratic driving going on out there in practice, so we'll see, we'll see. Christian Slater: Thumbs up baby. Brain Austin Green: I can't believe I won it, I can't believe that when we came into turn one and I was fourth I was thinking this is going to take a lot of work, going to take a lot of work and Adrien was up in front and he was just moving and I had Adam Carolla, we started banging out, you know we're on straight ways, I mean I'm gunning it and we are still banging and he is behind me and he is bumping me so he got in front of me and I thought you know what I'm going the return the favor, I'm going to stay right on him and I just kept banging, that got in his head a little bit. I like to feel or I think that I had absolutely something to do with it and then I will do it again. Jimmy Vasser: I am the first guy coming through I was able to gap Tanner and then he would then he would -- then I don't know what got into him and he was just really trying to push me off the track. I think he was to talking to Paul Tracy too much. But he needed to hit me harder than that to get me around. Brain Austin Green: I have never won anything in my life. Male Speaker: You won this. Brain Austin Green: I won this. Scion Racing GT CHANNEL www.gtchannel.com
