Marc Avram: Andre the answer is yes, if you cut it too short you can cut the skin, underneath it and that can bleed and that can even lead to an extreme if you are little next in the skin to infection. So I recommend cutting your nail short, but not too short, if you do too short you may expose yourself to cutting the skin and than can lead to medical problems.
