Question: Does postpartum depression/ PPD go away by itself? Dr. Shoshana Bennett: Postpartum depression does not necessarily go away on its own that's one of the mix. Actually postpartum depression can continue and become chronic depression. There was one excellent study actually a few studies but one on particularly thinking of were after an entire year, 25% of the women who have postpartum depression or still deeply depressed and what's important to know of course is that not only is her life miserable. But again this is affecting at the entire family here that, so it's affecting curve relationship with your children with her - so it's extremely important that she gets care.
