That is correct. A young lady, kids were yelling, I looked up and saw a little girl on the air conditioner. I ran over there to see what I could do. I noticed she was quite high and I just stood beneath her. I prayed. I asked God to let me catch her and my prayers was answered I caught the little girl. Today the little girl is OK, I'm out of work but I'm trying to keep myself busy and not hide from y'all." July 16, 2012, New York, Amateur Video - AP Television News Clients Only 4. I look out the window I see the little girl on the AC swinging her feet. It looked like she was dancing. I didn't know if she was being funny or something. So it hit me, that she was really on the AC stuck swinging her feet. My phone was right there, I was going to call the cops, but they said they'd already caught the cops, so I just started recording." 10. I asked God to let me catch her and my prayers was answered I caught the little girl," said Bernard. St. Bernard said he was walking home from work when he observed a commotion outside the Coney Island housing complex. He saw the girl standing on the air conditioning unit, seemingly unafraid and moving about. It wasn't clear how she got there, but witnesses say that she crawled out by pulling aside the unit's accordion-like plastic partitions that keep the air conditioner secured in the window. The entire incident was captured on an iPhone by 19 year old Donovan Serrano who lives across the courtyard from the little girl. My phone was right there, I was going to call the cops, but they said they'd already caught the cops, so I just started recording," said Serrano. The girl was taken to a Coney Island hospital with minor injuries. St. Bernard, a father of four, suffered a torn tendon in his shoulder.Neighbors said the girl was a special needs child.Police said no charges were filed against the parents.
