Luz Montez: Which ones will give you the best of all possible bangs for the bucks? Hello and welcome to Trip on the Deal. I’m Luz. John Palacio: And I’m John, today we bring you the best that America’s amusement park have to offer in 2009. Luz Montez: Amusement today recently announces their prestigious golden ticket awards. You can find us on their site AmusementToday.com. John Palacio: Now, we found stuff on our list that we’ve never heard off and certainly will inspire our future trips. Here are some of the highlights of the 2009 winter. Luz Montez: We’ll start with the best new ride of the year, the Prowler at Worlds of Fun in Kansas City, Missouri. It’s a wooden roller coaster of all things. It sounds old fashioned but there is nothing old fashion about it’s whooping 85 point plummet into a ravine followed by high speed twist and turns. John Palacio: This thing looks really fun. The best overall wooden coaster of the year goes to the Voyage Holiday World at Santa Claus, Indiana. Thank you. This ride, you have to go there. This ride is one point two miles long and provides a record 24 seconds, 24.2 seconds of air time. Luz Montez: What air time? John Palacio: Airtime is that time where you're flying a little and hanging there. It is that magic moment, we are suspended in the air. Luz Montez: Before you die. John Palacio: Before you die. The voyage includes the record five underground tunnels, a series of an incredibly dramatic drop and multiple track puzzles, can you believe that? Here’s a tip, don’t eat before you get off. Luz Montez: The peak for the best steel coaster even has a scary name, the Bizzaro at Six Flag. John Palacio: You said that pretty good. Luz Montez: That’s all right, in Agawam, Massachussetts. It is named after a DC actor and guess what? It’s wireless meaning you feel like you’re flying as you pull it at 61 miles per hour through a cool zone probably like bushes or hair or something. Before twisting and turning to interlocking cork screws while it’s around you, okay fire. John Palacio: Does he teach you fire at you? Luz Montez: So we can launch and fire at you. Oh yes and there are 96 who have dive youth. My pulse is racing just really about this thing. Go! John Palacio: Now, you need to cool up after that so in the best water ride, the peak was Dudley Do-Right's Rip Saw falls. Luz Montez: I would like that guys? John Palacio: At Universals Islands of Adventure in Orlando, Florida, yes, Dudley Do-Right's but Dudley Do-Right's was kind of goofy solely with this thing. It’s a water fall ride to rival anything you’ve experienced but if you like you, you're plummeting through the dark in a spinning boat and you know this is right up your alley. Luz Montez: |Who doesn’t? John Palacio: Now watch out for the dynamite shack at the end of the ride. There is a hand. It’s a sign that says highly Kaboomable. Now you should definitely bring a change of clothes after you wear, you want to play around. Luz Montez: I have been asked you why? Oh, yeah, because a little give it away. John Palacio: It’s a water fall ride. Luz Montez: Okay. John Palacio: Oh. You like there too. Oh that’s nice. And here’s what I love, the best Halloween event and this much completely terrified. A little bit more than step out from your local haunting house get your family over to Halloween horror nights at Universal Orlando, Florida and select nights from September and October. This thing part is transformed into a nightmarish labyrinth of houses, outrageous live shows and an electrifying with the Ghost scary zone. Like an army of mutants going around and attacking. Yes monsters, maniacs rolling the studio streets and they get out on your children. The scare professionals at Universal and cooperating with some other— Luz Montez: All my favorite, that is. John Palacio: That’s right. They bring in some of their four universal horrors ventures, really terrified the fans of you. Now, don’t worry, you have a year to recover after you go. Luz Montez: I really can’t go back again. Wimpy should maybe stay home. John Palacio: That’s good. Luz Montez: Or head for the Bad Children’s Park. It’s Legoland in Carlsbad, California. I sincerely want to go here, the key is the website, and we’ve got to go. John Palacio: And maybe you can take your kids. Luz Montez: Aside from the astonishing features of Lego building which you stand, Lego land picture’s more than 50 super ride, shows and attractions for the whole family, everything will bring your child, your little ones can become highly intelligent just picking for Lego puzzles or your family can bond over the child is put again in fun town and did I tell you? The Legos are missing. John Palacio: They are pretty incredible and what means pretty much that is every kid is addicted Lego Star Wars and Lego, they love that. Now, let’s face its fun is fun so I’m sure this next is so hard to pick because you know, what’s better than a Water Park, one of the best the best water parks that’s why you check out Schilitterbahn Waterpark Resort in new Grandfield, Texas. You will find everything here from the amazing thousand feet long six storey tall, master bluster uphill water coaster to jolly, fun new spots like Kinderhaven, shallow and for kids the pirate ship and soft slides. Luz Montez: Soft slides. John Palacio: That’s right for the little bottoms. Luz Montez: They also took the drives for best new Waterpark at Schilitterbahn. It features a rain forest or just float in an ancient river teeming with wild animals, restless natives, fun ring waterfalls and underground diving mine for the navies. John Palacio: This is called the Congo River expedition and I’ll going to tell you of all these things. I love water, roller coasters but from these sections you can select a lot of fun. Luz Montez: You really do look amazing, finally. John Palacio: The big price that coveted title that everyone sort of like the Oscar Amusement parks, the best amusement park of 2009 is repeat winners, Cedar Point, Sandusky, Ohio. The park is more roller coasters than any other part on earth. Luz Montez: How many is that? John Palacio: Seventeen that includes three of the top ten steel roller coasters too. Cedar Point is considered the roller coaster capital of the world and apparently those are the other thing so stay tuned. Luz Montez: Seventeen. Wow! It is a coaster lover dream come true.
