An Interview With Two Door Cinema Club Male: Hey there. Hi we’re Two Door Cinema Club in the New York Baeble Music. Male: We all meet each other when were 14 or 15 years old and I guess we kind of bonded over the love of the same kind of music and we all play guitars, so pretty soon after that we form our first band and played covers. We did that for a couple of years and we were with other friends who was drumming at that time and he left and after that happened we still want to do write music together so when we’re about 17. We form our cinema club and we’ve been writing together ever since and turning and making albums and doing a lot. On the curve of mark and like I said was the third song we ever wrote and that was it’s kind of strange one lyrically and it’s sort of a made up story by this guy who sort of just got to do something but he knows he has to go into it and he will pay off in the end. And I guess that was kind of a matter for four of what we are doing at that time we were starting on a band. We were coming to the end of school and you know it was a pretty scary leaf just go often to the band like we have no support, with no job, with no money but we wanted to do this and so that was in reference to that you know taking a big leap and hopefully having to pay off in the end. Our record was sort of I guess it was all by three years in the making since we form the band. We have been writing songs and we’ve come up with quite a lot of stuff but the10 tracks that we’ve made on the album were ones that we’ve really, really truly loved and everything was pretty much there already before we went into the record because we would record the songs, that we demo them maybe like two times, three times before we went into the studio like every time we wrote a song we record it. So we went into the studio with five versions and demos and just sort of put a lot together and recorded it and had a lot fun. Male: It’s the first time we’ve ever been in the city for more than two days at a time so it’s just fun having those times to try different signs and welcome the drum samples and things. Male: It’s the only time we kept it very simple but with trust it is very important that we had the songs on record rather than just log on experimentation and noises and weird stuff and we wanted their songs to come through so, especially on our first record. So we kept it very simple and just did it the way wanted to do it. Male: From the past is that the things it’s never been part of the band. You know obviously we like collusively and we like to do that goal but it’s never been a strand of the band that is what’s being what wear and we’re definitely not, I don’t think we’re a style but definitely I know it’s kind of either. Male: And every time we tear too much to be a style bands just you know holding shirts and ironing and all that does it’s too much difficult because it’s hard like bound. Male: I’ve always say it’s important to know almost everyday someone’s filming us or taking photos of us and like during magazines and all the internet and stuff so like you wouldn’t want to be on that and looking terrible so got to make an effort. Male: We’ve never had a conversation of what were going to wear really fit. Male: That’s why we turn out these shows wearing the same clothes. Male: Yeah.
