A Dummies Guide to Harry Potter Male1: This week he’s released a new movie Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows, the latest installment of the now world famous wizard franchise. Male2: Our world has faced no greater threat than it does today. Male1: But just in case you’ve been in solitary confinement for the last ten years or up to now been able to evade the magical trauma of Harry and Co., here is our dummies guide to Harry Potter. With the start of Potter Saga, we need to go back to 1997, when the released of the first of seven fantasy novels written by British author J. K. Rowling. Female: It might have seen to me that what happens in the screen is what I see my imagination and it’s really, really all true. Male1: The book series of more than 500 millions copies worldwide and became an instant hit with the kids and adult alike. So, as perhaps no surprise that Warner Brothers snapped up the rights of the stories and it was a long before the first movie hit theaters in late 2001. Both the Harry Potter books in movies, chronicle the adventures Potter himself. A young wizard, he learned that his magical powers and must refine them at the number one magical college in the land - Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In the movies, Potter is played by British actor Daniel Radcliffe. While his two student wizard friends, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley are played by fellow Brits, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint. In each of the movies, Potter find himself in conflict with the menacing Lord Voldemort, an evil wizard and not only killed Potter’s parents but has also fixated with an exterminating all non-magical people and by the way, they’re called Muggles in the franchise. In the latest installment of the film series Harry Potter is tasked with finally finding and destroying Lord Voldemort secret immortality. All powerful magical object called the Horcrux. And although this movie is based on the final book is in fact the ultimate film, the story is split into two to allow the final movies to justice to the literary original. So, there you have it. Harry Potter 101, a dummies guide that even a Muggle could not misunderstand.
