A Blowout of Info on Nintendo 3DS - IGN Daily Fix: 9.29.2010 IGN Jessica Chobot: Hey everybody Jess here with your Fix for Wednesday, September 29th. Get ready for a 3DS blowout. Nintendo held a special conference in Japan last night revealing a tone of info about their new 3D handheld. Expect the 3DS to hit in Japan on February 26, 2011 for around 300 bucks packed in with a 2 gig SD card. The system will then hit U.S and European markets in March 2011 but no official price is given. Also revealed was the ability to transfer your DSI where games to the new handheld and it will have its very own virtual console shop that will also sell Gameboy games. Something that we did want for the DS but it’s nice to see that Nintendo is actually listening to its fans. Now in terms of its 3DS games there are a ton of Resident Evil Mercenaries and Megaman Legends 3 were announced along plenty of others head over to IGN for a full list of the games and videos of them in action. Highlights also include an 8 minute long trailer for Metal Gear Solid Snake Eaters so you definitely don’t want to miss it. Now in related news Nintendo also confirmed that the long rumored Wii Remote Plus is real. The new controller will combine the Wii motion plus accessory and a standard Wii remote into the same casing. However no price or release dates were given. So how about some non-gaming news, George Lucas revealed that all 6 Star Wars Films will be back in theatres beginning in early 2012. One movie will be released each year and as you may have guessed each film will be completely converted into 3D. Unfortunately the movies will be released in order so expect to wait to about 4-1/2 years before a good Star Wars film once again hits the theatres.
