Welcome to trip on a deal, I'm Luz. John Palacio: And I'm John, were going to get right to it. Tip number one, we all lost stuff in the sand right? Luz Montez: Oh man! John Palacio: Yeah, so put your stuff in a zip lock baggy or in a small sealable container like your keys or your credit cards and cash, you won’t loose them right. Luz Montez: If you got yourself to the beach, you want to make sure you can get back. Do it as soon you get out of the car, start unloading it and then put those things in a little baggy and you will never loose them. Tip number two, don’t under estimate what the salt and sea can do to your nice electronics. John Palacio: And that wind, in fact if you a nice camera like this, leave it at home and bring some disposables even some disposables for the kids are great because they going to run around and take some pretty and artistic shots. Luz Montez: They take better pictures than I do. John Palacio: Tip number three, wear sunscreen and reapply. Luz Montez: Children under the age of 10 should wear at least SPF-30 and children under the age of six months should not be in the sun at all. Tip number four, never swim alone when your at the beach also you should favor beaches that have a lifeguard on them. If you do however get caught out there in the ocean, keep calm and conserve energy. John Palacio: That’s right, some of those currents are fairly strong and you don’t want to ever swim against the current. If you feel like you're been taking out the sea swim parallel to the beach sideways that should take you out of the current and not take you too far away where you can’t get up. Tip number five, after you plant that beach umbrella, you got all your blankets ready and your cooler and your kids toys, don’t forget a big roomy Beach Taupe. Luz Montez: I own several. What's great about these things, you can stuff them, you can smush them in the corner of the car. John Palacio: Smush them? Luz Montez: Smush them, smush them and then once you get to the beach, then grab your kid’s wagon or small garden kart to pull everything around. Tip number six, I never go to the beach without a couple of big old galloons of water in the back of my car. John Palacio: These jugs are great because once you get off the sand. You could actually wash off your feet before you get in the car and not bringing all that sand into the car. Luz Montez: And rinse those sticky little kids. John Palacio: Tip number seven, beaches can be very dehydrating, so bring plenty of water for everyone. Luz Montez: And when you bring in food to the beach, remember don’t pack things that are going to sort of you know disintegrate in the sun, mayo is a no-no. Tip number eight is a very just to one, if you go to a beach that may have jelly fish. You probably want to take salt or vinegar with you. John Palacio: I’m going to. Luz Montez: I'm not kidding! This can save your leg. John Palacio: Now some people say actually they urinate on the jelly fish thing that’s okay but you know you got to have pretty good friend for that. Luz Montez: Do that or—can be your own urine? John Palacio: Oh that’s kind of complicated. Luz Montez: It’s going to be your urine. John Palacio: Yeah, well it fends of where the sting is I guess so. Tip number nine; consider going in early morning or in late afternoon. Luz Montez: It’s a must. The midday sun is the very hottest and it’s not good for anybody. Tip number ten, many beaches require a parking permit or a beach permit. John Palacio: You should check ahead before you get slap with a fine.
